On Saturday, May 17, 2014, I attended my first graduation and commencement as a professor (and not as a student). I also got to wear my bright purple regalia from the University of Washington for the first time as a professor. The weather was bright but cool, and the ceremony was not too long complete with speeches, singing, and the handing out of degrees. For my first commencement, it was a success, and more importantly, I got to see some of my students graduate. Congratulations to all who walked!
